Octave changes on bass guitar
The notes on a bass guitar change in octave at the C notes on each string. Listed are the scientific pitch notations through fret 12.
The fourth string starts at the first octave (E1) and changes to the second at the 8th fret.
The third string starts at the first octave (A1) and changes to the second at the 3rd fret.
The second string starts at the second octave (D2) and changes to the third at the 10th fret.
The first string starts at the second octave (G2) and changes to the third at the 5th fret.
